Durham Dales Festival is very excited to welcome Kevin and Karen Clifton to this year's festival.  The Strictly Come Dancing professional couple will be performing five dances and hosting a Q & A session.

We are also delighted that the charming Mums in Durham Choir and KerryAnn O'Neill Dancers will also be appearing.

The Boy Who Grew Wings

What a magical addition to this year's Festival Whispering Woods' production of The Boy Who Grew Wings is going to be.  Taking place in Hamsterley Forest, this thrilling performance of aerial acrobatics brings ancient tales to life, using circus skills and live music.

Durham Dales Festival Opera is extremely happy to be returning to this beautiful venue, The Bowes Museum, for the third year running.  Following their performances of 'Cosi fan Tutte' and 'Dido and Aeneas', this year's production will be Strauss's highly entertaining 'Die Fledermaus'.

We are delighted to return to The Black Bull 

for a third year.  This year's concert will be in memory of the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the programme will include Russian songs and repertoire from other countries at the time.

This is a unique opportunity: not only to be part of the first performance of this specially written fun mini-opera, but to meet the actual heroine of the piece - Sally Kettle, and hear about her incredible adventure.

Fees

4 - 7 year olds £25.00.

27th: 10 am to noon.

28th:  2 to 5 pm.

8 - 12 year olds £45.00

27th:  1 - 3 pm.

28th:  10 am to 5 pm

           (bring a packed lunch).

13 year olds and above £45.00

27th:  3 to 5 pm.

28th:  10 am to 5 pm

           (bring a packed lunch).

Siblings: a £5 reduction dependent upon which age group they belong to.

Where possible, there will be extra coaching prior to the workshop, for no extra charge.

Please note:-

Lorna is dbs-checked and Sally is in the process of becoming so. We are also looking for locally-based chaperones.

In addition to learning their parts in SALLY'S GREAT BIG ATLANTIC ADVENTURE, participants will also be given vocal, acting and dancing tuition.  

Be prepared for a fun and exciting couple of days!

Each fee includes two free tickets to the performance.  

Additional tickets £5.  

The children will have worked hard, so please encourage your friends and family to come so they have a good audience!
